Introduction

Welcome to the Bela-Bela Education Advocacy Group's (BBEAG) website!

On this and other pages you will be given a glimpse into our township education system as well as intervention measures mooted to redress the challenges faced. The BBEAG is a group of passionate youths who have decided to do something about the deteriorating levels of our education systems by going for a private-public partnership (PPP) with educationists, school management & governing bodies, private individuals, local municipality plus the greater business fraternity in our town to yield better matriculation results.

Our Vision

Our vision is to succeed in reversing the chronic underperformance of our township schools.

This we plan to achieve by introducing intervention measures and collaborating with progressive alliances to tackle education challenges.

Our resolve is firm and our passion is infectious. Join us in this journey and you will see why..

The Challenge

There are many challenges in any society and Bela-Bela is no different. They range from:

• crime
• under-development
• mismanagement
• poverty, etc

but the deterioration of education standards is by far the most disconcerting. Without education most of the problems above exacerbates to catastrophic levels.

We are encouraged by the words of Victor Hugo who says:

"He who opens a school door, closes a prison."

We hold the quote to be true and prophetic as a better skilled person is averse to such. That is why as the Bela-Bela Education Advocacy Group we have decided to use our combined mass and skills to help reverse the deterioration of the education standards in our township school of Bela-Bela.

Our Motto

Our motto is adopted from the grandfather our nation, Dr. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, who said:

'Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.'

This is our contribution, however little, and we hope you would join us in this great journey to raise the education standard in our town to world class levels.
